ABOUT LAJEVARD

What is Lajevard?

Lajevard ( لاجورد ) is the Persian name for  a deep blue semi-precious stone, lapis lazuli,  that has been treasured for thousands of years.  It is known for its rich royal blue color, often sprinkled with golden flecks of pyrite, resembling a star-filled night sky.

Our Story, the Bay Area Halal Cafe

Historically, Lajevard symbolized wisdom, truth, power, and spiritual insight. Ancient Persian, Egyptian, and Mesopotamian cultures used it in jewelry, royal ornaments, sacred objects, and even ground it into pigment for art.  Spiritually and poetically, Lajevard is associated with clarity of mind, inner vision, and connection to higher knowledge, a stone believed to awaken the voice of truth and the depth of the soul.
